
Miniature cameras, lens and flashes were created for the tops of these cupcakes. Cupcakes were Boston Creme Cupcakes hence the ooey-gooey chocolate topping!

This cake was chosen for a young couple's engagement party to celebrate their upcoming nuptials. The majority of the cake was in it's tail and body. The head was created out of crispy treat cereal and the entire cake was covered with modeling chocolate. Details were painted on with copper luster dust and white luster dust.
This cake was created for a little boy named Nate. The request came through a great organization called Icing Smiles. The work they do is outstanding!! The theme of the cake was Disney's Cars Movie. In place of hand sculpted cars figures, we thought it best to place real toy cars on the cake! Cake was French Vanilla with Strawberry Buttercream Filling. A big happy 5th birthday to Nate!!!!
These tartan plaid themed cupcakes were for a bridal shower with the chosen design to represent the couple having their wedding in Scotland.
This cake is for a Naperville Central High School Graduate -- "Class of 2011!" Her interests are "Theater Central", Yearbook Club, and especially fine arts. We incorporated all of them for her cake which was Kahlua red velvet with vanilla bean cream cheese filling. All elements made from modeling chocolate.
This cake was created for a Winnie-the-Pooh themed baby shower. Pooh's head was made out of crispy treats with body and honey pot made out of cake. Cake was covered with modeling chocolate with fondant bees. Cake was white chocolate with cookies 'n cream filling with a special request from the mom-to-be that the legs be pink champagne cake with raspberry filling. : )
This cake and cupcakes were created for a little girl's first birthday! Sweet Pink was the theme. We duplicated the invitation design with hand cut modeling chocolate and placed it on the top of the cake. The cupcakes had a coordinating pink disk with the number one for their decoration. Cake was butter yellow with strawberry buttercream filling and the cupcakes were vanilla also with strawberry buttercream.
We had the great honor of creating the anniversary cake for North Central College's sesquicentennial celebration! Pictured are Mary Reynolds, Associate Director of Alumni Relations, and Amy Clarke-Sievers, Director of Student Involvement. We took design elements from the Old Main building to duplicate on the cake. The bell tower on the Old Main building is one of the main focal points on the campus which became the top element for the cake. We made Kahlua Red Velvet cake with vanilla bean buttercream to represent the school's color which of course was red! Additional sheets cakes were provided, each with school logos. Congratulations North Central!
This cake was for a special birthday girl who was turning 70. Beautiful lavender and cream were used for this color scheme. Fresh flowers, a lavender ribbon, and Fleur De Le designs were added to complete the look. The top tier cake was vanilla with fresh strawberries, and the bottom tier cake was a layer of chocolate cake, a layer of vanilla cake with vanilla bean buttercream.
This cake was for a graduate from Illinois State University. The cake was a culmination of many elements the graduate has an interest or an affinity for which is playing tennis, playing the viola, and a passion for working with dolphins. Cake as dark chocolate with vanilla bean buttercream and covered with modeling chocolate. All design elements also created out of modeling chocolate.
This engagement party cake was created to duplicate the couple's first home. We included the happy couple along with their beloved black lab which was holding the pillow with the couple's wedding rings. Cake was butter yellow cake with vanilla bean buttercream filling and covered with modeling chocolate.
This birthday cake was made to coordinate with the party invitations which had the houndstooth pattern and the main design. We duplicated the pattern using a stencil and royal icing. The crown was also created to match the party favors. Electric green and touch of gold were the accent colors which just pop with the black. Cake was white chocolate with chocolate ganache filling.
