This cake was for a special birthday girl who was turning 70. Beautiful lavender and cream were used for this color scheme. Fresh flowers, a lavender ribbon, and Fleur De Le designs were added to complete the look. The top tier cake was vanilla with fresh strawberries, and the bottom tier cake was a layer of chocolate cake, a layer of vanilla cake with vanilla bean buttercream.

My name is Patty Pittman Asken, I am the designer, sculpter, and owner of sweet P sweets, inc. I attended the School of the Art Instutite of Chicago, and Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. I have a passion for sculpture, which I now translate into the ever growing industry of cake design. I owe a lot to my mom and grandma Fagan for passing down the knowledge of cake baking, and designing with chocolate!!! I now live in Illinois with my ever so busy family of four boys and my husband, or should I say five boys!
