Vickie

This cake was created to match a birthday party invitation for a special birthday girl. Teal, chocolate brown and white were the chosen colors which work really well together. A stencil (Martha Stewart) was used to create the pattern which also happen to match the invitation. The cake was a vanilla bean cake with fresh strawberries.

Pizza Look-A-Like Wedding Cake

This wedding cake was for a couple that won a contest put on by Home Run Inn Pizza and Lou Malnati's Pizza. So fun to make!!! "Through Thick and Thin" was the contest. See the following link for close ups of the cake! http://www.wciu.com/youandme.php?section=home&assetID=10002473

Belly Cake II

A very fun baby shower cake! A very realistic belly cake. I had too much fun making this cake. Cake was dark chocolate with vanilla bean buttercream filling.

Sweet 15

A "sweet 15" party cake with a bright magenta, black and silver color scheme was created to match the party invitations. Scroll work around the cake was stenciled with black royal icing and silver dragees were added for visual interest. An edible black ribbon was also added around the base of each tier. Love the brightness of this cake!

A Police Officer's Delight!

This was a surprise 30th birthday cake for a birthday boy who is a police officer. His wife wanted to incorporate a few of his favorite things such as The White Sox and Miller Lite Beer. She also suggested creating the number 30 out of handcuffs which is fitting for a police officer! Very clever!! A playful theme of floating in a donut topped off the cake. So fun to make!

Chalkboard Cake

A fun retirement cake for a teacher. All elements were created out of tinted white chocolate with the writing on the "chalkboard" done with royal icing.

Alison

This wedding cake was inspired by a picture the bride provided me with. She chose to change the flowers to peonies and magenta with tangerine centers. I love the bright colors of this cake! Each peonie was created out of fondant and highlighted with pearl and luster dust.

Mr. Monkey!

This lovable monkey was created out of crispy treat and covered with milk chocolate. It sat on a bed of banana leaves which covered a banana cake with vanilla bean buttercream filling. All elements were created out of tinted white chocolate. I'm especially happy with the "chocolate bananas." The monkey's likeness was fashioned after the party invitation my client provided.

AnnaLynn

This cake was for a very fun 2nd birthday party. The birthday girl loves Elmo and Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street. Elmo was on the front as Abby was on the back (sorry no pic) along with Elmo's fish Dorothy who sat on top of the cake. Gotta love Dorothy!

Space Shuttle Topper

Another cake created to coordinate with the party supplies. One little change was to replace an astronaut with a space shuttle. All elements were created out of tinted white chocolate and highlighted with luster dust.

Buggy Party

This cake was created to coordinate with the client's party invitations. The bugs were hand cut and pieced together. The birthday boy's nickname is also "Buggy" -- fun tie-in! Large oval butter yellow cake with milk chocolate buttercream filling.
